Kalie Marino M.S.W.

Kalie Marino has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa, specializing in individual, marriage, family, couples, and group therapy. She is a social worker, holistic & spiritual psychotherapist, ordained interfaith minister, and public speaker who uses an integrative approach to counseling.
Kalie has taught a variety of transformational processes across the nation for over 36 years and has given seminars on the book “A Course in Miracles” since 1978. Her unusual background in both quantum physics and metaphysics makes her uniquely qualified to share a practical perspective on spirituality and healing. Before returning to college for her master’s degree, she was personally trained to teach “Transcendental Meditation” by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Two members of the Beach Boys were in her class to become Initiators. She taught TM meditation to over 1,000 people. She also taught Integrative Rebirthing, Kundalini Yoga, ESP, and Astrology. She is trained in EMDR, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), the Matrix Work, Integrated Energy Therapy, Be Set Free Fast, Focusing, Educational Kinesiology, Reiki, Integrative Energy Therapy, and other transformational approaches. She also opened the Open-Heart Institute to teach a oneyear course in holistic and spiritual counseling to counselors.
Fortunately, Kalie was able to travel and study with spiritual teachers and holistic leaders from all over the world, including India. For her master’s thesis, she researched the causes of authentic change, integrating quantum physics, metaphysics, and human systems theory. Her research included working with a master of internal energy, where she demonstrated that a person’s state of mind can cause significant physical effects. This research made headlines in “The Brain/Mind Bulletin “, a national scientific publication. As a contributing editor, her articles were featured in “Miracles” magazine. You may have seen other articles in “New Visions Magazine.” Kalie was ordained as an Interfaith minister in 1996 at St. John the Divine in New York City, and later graduated from The New Seminary, where she completed graduate training.
